The construction of this tomb was commenced in 1565, 9 years after the death of Humayun and was commissioned by Empress Bega Begum . The architecture was mainly inspired by Persian design language. Char Bagh is divided in four main parts by walkways or flowing water which is created to resemble the paradise garden described in the Quran.
