It is named after the 'Birdman' of India, Salim Ali, a renowned ornithologist; was preserved by the department of Goa in 1988 for the bird-life it showcased. It is a famous abode to spot rare species of birds and animals. Covering more than 25 Km of terrestrial land, it is a paradise for nature enthusiasts with the fragile ecosystem that is on display here with bucolic treading paths, dug out canoes and more!   • You'll be charged extra for professional photography and videography.
  • The best way to explore the entire sanctuary is through a dedicated ferry ride (varying upon the tide levels) across the water channels.
