The Red room has 2 single beds. The Family Room is spacious with 2 double bed for 4 adults, with children fitting in comfortably. It also opens up to a common balcony! The Cosy single room with 1 double bed accommodates 2 people. A detached studio apartment has two floors with fully furnished rooms and an attached bathroom and a kitchenette.

Most of the food is organic and sourced from the local farmers. The delectable Dal with a plate of hot Rotis or a bowl of fluffy rice is a must! Gorthali food is similar to the North Indian dishes except for the slight change in spices.

They also share a Food Experience: guests can request the family to cook local Gorkhali cuisine for them or have an achaar making session for insight on local flavours. The host, Anjalina herself enjoys accompanying the guests on guided birding walks. One can also trail off on paths only known to the locals.

The Pradhan Family
They opened up their home for an extended family of travellers to meet like-minded people. Anjalina and her sister have both worked in Delhi before settling for a quieter life in Mirik. Their father is an army veteran and mother is a homemaker who pursues several hobbies you could learn from!

  • A walk to the river on the Nepal border is highly recommended, as is a visit to the nursery for botanical aficionados.
