Kangra Valley

Board your cab for the day and head to the base of the hill (a 30-min drive from Bir), atop which is the temple. Begin your 1-hour hike, which will end in a 360-degree view of the valley along with a sight of one of the oldest temples in Bir. You’ll also be able to spot Bir down below.

Hike to Hidden Waterfall
Not known to nearly anyone, this waterfall is a literal hideout in the middle of the jungle. Hike for 20 minutes through a trail of tiny freshwater pools, tangled bushes, and chirping birds to reach the falls. If you walk for 200 m alongside the waterfall, you’ll come across another waterfall gushing down at your feet. This one’s just as unexplored, as you may have guessed

Next Stop at Baijnath Temple

Baijnath

An ancient Shiva temple dating back to the 13th century, Baijnath Temple is located in the minuscule township of Baijnath in the Dhauladhars of the western Himalayas. This Dravidian-style temple is remote & hence notices little footfall. And since this is one of the only two mahakal temples in India, Baijnath is considered sacred too.
